MISSION
Actively participate in County Government to
advocate equal and fair treatment for all taxpayers through
non-partisan advocacy on all taxpayer county projects, issues, plans
and policies that impact citizens’ welfare and quality of life.
Communicate openly and honestly with citizens to
advocate the lowest possible taxes to maintain the quality of life,
health, welfare, education, public safety and respect for the
individuals residing in the county.
FTA Alive and Well
The Fluvanna Taxpayers Association is very much alive and well. Our
mission remains the same. Our spirit is the same. Our advocacy on
behalf of taxpayers remains as strong as ever.
Our participation in the ongoing joint water authority petition
drive is certainly testimony to that. FTA's petition-signing events at
Bagelicious and Good Neighbor Pharmacy in Jefferson Center on Saturday
were a great success. We thank the many FTAers and other citizens who
took part!
TV newscasts Friday, Saturday and Sunday featured the referendum and
our events. You can check out the newscasts at www.nbc29.com and
www.charlottesvillenewsplex.tv. Also, be sure to see stories about the
petition drive and involvement by FTA people that ran in The Central
Virginian (March 5), The Rural Virginian (March 11) and Fluvanna Review
(March 12).
If you haven’t signed the petition for a referendum
on the Fluvanna/Louisa joint water authority, be sure to do so by
